Today we in America celebrate Thanksgiving Day, and all around the world we pause to feast with family and friends.
Don’t we all love the table spread of Turkey and dressing with all the fixings followed by the American traditional Pumpkin Pie? YUM!
So, Beloved, let the Joy that fills your thankful hearts today go before you as the as you give thanks for all the blessings you have been given.
In The Bible, thanksgiving reflects praise as an offering to God. As I reflect on the things we celebrate, the colonists celebrated unity with the Indians, but Nehemiah assembled the people to give thanks to God for His faithfulness in rebuilding the wall.
According to Nehemiah 12:27, the Levites were brought to Jerusalem to celebrate with joy and thanksgiving singing songs of worship and thanksgiving unto God.
I feel The LORD is reminding us today that our focus is upon relationship, not just with family and friends, but with God Himself and the uniting together with God and man.
So today, as we petition our Savior, making our desires known to HIM, may we thank Him in advance for the healing of America and all the nations as we joyfully feast upon His goodness and mercy and faithfulness that continually releases blessings in abundance.
May we allow the attitude of our heart be renewed to desire that intimacy with God and man.
Early this morning as I awakened, I heard bells ringing and The LORD spoke to me, “Let the Joy of The LORD fill you today as you celebrate with a thankful heart, for My Goodness and Mercy that is new every morning.
And just as I spoke to My Servant earlier to let Me do the talking, I say to you again this day, ‘You are invited to come into The Secret Place and shut the Door softly as you enter into My Presence in silence,'” says The Father.
“Know that the Joy that fills you today is going before you as you embrace the coming days of dark and light days that will surround you.
My Word instructs the wise and prudent in Proverbs 27:12 “A prudent person sees evil and hides himself; But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.” (NASB) So take heed that My Glory shall indeed fill you, surround you and be the brightness of all your tomorrows” says The LORD of Glory.
“Remember, I AM the Good Shepherd, the one who goes after the one that strayed from the flock and I will protect and gather you unto myself to bring awareness and comfort among the other sheep who are flocking together as ONE family in this hour,” says The LORD.
“The enemies of the cross are shouting loudly and seeking whom they may devour, but I AM your safe place and your anchor in the storm that is raging and the lightning that is striking constantly in the darkness,” says The Shepherd.
“Remember, ‘you are in my boat for your journey and the anchor holds. I put you in remembrance of My Word in Mark 4 35-41 that says ‘Jesus was asleep on a cushion in the stern, and the disciples woke him and asked, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
The Gospel of Mark then states that: ‘He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm.’
So know that I AM speaking to the storm today and I AM riding out the storm with you for I never leave you or forsake you,” says the Captain of the Ship who is your Savior.
So today and everyday, may we joyfully shout to The LORD each morning, “Today is Thanksgiving Day and I give thanks with a grateful heart that everything you have in mine and everything I have, I give to you always and forever.”
