After my last Word here on HKP on CHANGE TALK, I began to think about the words of our mouth and issues of the HEART as always…
That leads me to another CHANGE: A Change of Heart…. or what is A Changed Heart?
This is such a simple Truth that I share with you today that many might pass on by with a quick, “Oh I already know that,”’ but I exhort you to pause for a moment as we remember this is something we must apply almost constantly as we walk in The Spirit.
As I sought The LORD in prayer this morning in my “Keeping My Heart” time, I was struggling with an issue that I thought I had dealt with many times but it sometimes makes it’s way into my heart, as I silence the voice of myself before I pray.
I heard The LORD speak softly to me, “My Daughter, you are in a time and season when I AM exposing and revealing personal issues that many have buried deep in their hearts and forgotten.
But, I AM giving opportunity for deep healing of old wounds that are buried in unforgiveness.
Remember what I spoke to Peter regarding offense in Matthew 18:21-23 when he said, “LORD, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?”
I said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times a day.”
Whenever there is an issue of the heart, there is a choice to forgive.
You forgive first as an act of your will, paying no attention to your emotions or feelings, then as you walk in forgiveness with that person, you will walk it out all the way to The Cross so that whenever your see them or even hear their name, you will see The Cross and hear my words echo in your heart, “Father forgive them they know not what they do,” says the Resurrected LORD.
“That, as I have taught you over and over, my daughter, is “Calvary Forgiveness”.”
Immediately my mind went back to the picture of the little child in Matthew 18 that depicts the purity and innocence of a pure heart.
“At that time the disciples came to ask Jesus, “Who is considered to be the greatest in heaven’s kingdom realm?”[ Jesus called a little one to his side and said to them, “Learn this well: Unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and become teachable like a little child, you will never be able to enter in. Whoever continually humbles himself to become like this little child is the greatest one in heaven’s kingdom realm.” Matthew 18:1-4.
So it is, beloved, whatever I hide actually controls me. It makes it so simple when you choose open heart surgery with HIM and avoid all the bypasses.
As a person who is asked to pray almost constantly sometimes, I have to come to The Father for Refreshment, Refills, and Remembrance.
I want my prayer to flow from His heart, and if I have a heart ‘blockage’ where I have closed my heart or have a hardened place, It is difficult to receive a constant flow from HIM.
As I prayed for someone recently whom I have prayed for many times — but don’t know them personally — I gave the Romans 8:28 scripture.
I realized that this person always asks the same thing and always sees the other person as the big problem in the relational conflict.
Suddenly, The LORD had me focus on the YWAM teachings I had on Openness and Brokenness.
Immediately, my mind went back to one of my favorite mentors on prayer, Joy Dawson who taught me to ask one question whenever I come to a crossroads, or a conflict, or even a difference of opinion where I must KEEP my own heart.
Here it is again…. as I leaned on that teaching, as I have done over and over again in my lifetime.
It is:
“What are you after in my heart?”
Again, we must guard our heart with all diligence, for out of it flows all the issues of life.
Personal growth is nearly always awkward at best and truly uncomfortable but when approached with an open heart, it teaches us what the real issue is as revealed by The LORD.
Search my heart oh LORD, let that be your cry as you extend mercy and allow His Purpose to be established IN you and FOR you.
The LORD spoke again to me, “Beloved, I AM calling out to My Children in the difficult time of evil and hardened hearts.
I AM sending Angels to minister to them at times when they are totally unaware, to protect them and minister to those who are hurting in their hearts, and have had broken relationships and loss.
I AM reinforcing My Love as a Father, and drawing close to those who have fallen away in despair,” says The Father.
“I say, if there is any unresolved issue in your heart, it will show up again and again by My Mercy,” says The LORD.
“Know this, conflict can be difficult, but when it arises, take care not to avoid it or go around it, lest you place yourselves in danger of a hardened heart,” says The One Who is WISDOM.
“Dear ones, that is the time to run to The One Who resides inside your heart, for I AM here for you and will massage your heart with my tender LOVE that never fails,” says The Father.
So, I leave you with this thought: “Simply Keep It Simple”!
Suddenly I began to hear an old familiar song that I have sang many times and I urge you to sing it with me today,
“Change my heart, Oh God,
make it ever true,
change my heart oh God
to be more like you.
You are the Potter,
I am the Clay,
mold me and make me
this is what I pray.”
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.

Matters of the Heart
